Respiratory allergy – allergic rhinitis and asthma
Allergic rhinitis
Clinical manifestations may occur year-round or only during the pollen season. Their extent and duration depend on the type of allergen.
- itchy nose
- sneezing
- nasal discharge
- blocked nose
- recurrent sinusitis
- eye problems (itching, tearing, swelling)
Diagnostics:
- Skin tests (prick tests) – in children from 2 years of age
- Determination of specific IgE
- Component diagnostics of inhalant allergens (blood tests)
Asthma
Asthma is an allergic inflammation of the lower respiratory tract. Symptoms can be year-round or seasonal and worsen with infections or physical exertion.
Diagnostics:
- Spirometry – analyzes air flow and volume, suitable for ages 5 and up
- FENO – measurement of airway inflammation using the NIOX device

Drug allergy
It is most often manifested by skin rashes. In rare cases, a general reaction may occur.
Diagnostics:
- BAT and BDT tests - blood is tested for a reaction to a specific suspected drug
Immune disorders
Manifestations include:
- recurrent respiratory tract infections
- sore throats
- urinary tract infections
- recurrent herpes
- chronic fatigue syndrome
- skin infections
Diagnostics:
- Antibody and cellular immunity testing
- Complement system testing
- Also suitable for cancer patients
Autoimmune diseases
They cover a wide range of diagnoses:
- neuromuscular diseases
- rheumatological diseases
- gastrointestinal diseases
- skin diseases
Diagnostics:
- Determination of autoantibodies – examinations are performed in cooperation with specialist doctors

Food allergy and intolerance
